Job: Ruby on Rails developer

Seeking someone to work on a great opportunity. It is a proven concept that has been up and running for a year. We are looking for someone who interested in bring this to the next level.

This would be a great opportunity for the 10-20% Seth Godin identified that have just graduated and are still seeking full time employment. I read this article and thought that our project would be a great opportunity for someone one wanted to learn about Ruby on Rails and wanted to work with passionate people on a cool ideas.

We have a project that has been running for about a year. It has proven successful and now needs help scaling to larger audiences. The projects we work on focus on community building. Not communities in the abstract or virtual world but communities that exist in the physical world that look to extend their reach. Many communities that have a physical place to meet provide activities, education, and information for their members. In order to meet with other community members many times it is required to be in the same place at the same time. This is not always possible in our asychronous world.

So what are we doing about it? We are creating online applications that allow people to meet no matter where they are and what time it is in the safety of their own community. We facilitate adult education and study through an online service that brings the most serious of students and observers in the community together.

Several more communities are ready to use our online community tools but we are missing a few things. That is where you come in. You can help us identify, design and implement the path to these other communities so they can all join in.

Who are we? User Interface designers, product managers and software developers with over 15 years experience a piece in our respective fields. We love solving problems and design beautiful solutions. We love it so much that we do it by day and by night.
